The Linq - High Roller Ferris Wheel Las Vegas

Written by Tiffany Milligan – A Vegas Local

What is the “High Roller” you ask? Only the biggest Ferris wheel in THE WORLD.  Hmmm, ever wonder how they came up with the name “Ferris wheel”? Apparently an engineer who built the first Ferris wheel was named George W. FERRIS…if only all things could be so simple :/ Simple is not a word to describe the construction of The Linq...

The Linq High Roller Ferris wheel is under construction; it’s been under construction for a while and it’s not projected to be completed the second quarter of 2014 (they just finished the outer ring this month). This crazy tall (550 ft to be exact) monstrosity will take THIRTY minutes to complete a full rotation and the rumor is it will cost upwards of $30 per person for the Las Vegas Ferris wheel experience.

Located across from Caesar’s Palace, the High Roller Ferris Wheel of Las Vegas will have 28 cars capable of rotating 1,120 passengers. Just READING about this magnificent feat of human engineering makes me want to vomit! You can bet your last hundred bucks that you will not find me on the High Roller ;)
